Exotic Roofing Materials for Your Custom Home
Roofing in an exotic material like copper tray roofing is increasingly popular in high-value builds. We have a range of custom roofing materials available to complete your custom home or commercial build. Our exotic materials include Aluminium, Copper and Stainless steel. Contact a Freeman Group branch to discuss your product options.
Aluminium is less dense than other roofing materials which makes it an attractive choice for roofing and cladding projects when weight is critical.
Aluminium forms its own protective oxide layer and is corrosion resistant. It is also malleable, easily fabricated, recyclable and cost competitive.
Available in coils or flat sheets, aluminium comes in a range of colours and thicknesses.
There is a choice of finishes, including a plain smooth surface and a stucco or textured surface that reduces reflection. For longevity, colour choice and adaptability to design, aluminium is an excellent choice.
Copper is a malleable and aesthetically pleasing roofing and cladding option suitable for contemporary and traditional designs.
Copper is a long-life roofing and cladding solution that does not require painting or finishing. Its initial higher cost is offset by its lower maintenance and long-lasting characteristics and the added value it gives to a property.
Copper is recyclable and available in a range of widths and gauges.
Stainless steel materials are available in the grades of 304, 316 and 445M2.
The most popular, 445M2 is the softer, easier to form marine grade of stainless steel. It’s available in a range of thicknesses from 0.5mm and in coils of up to 1.2m wide.
Stainless steel can be worked and formed like copper and aluminium.
ZINCALUME® coated steel represents a significant improvement on the traditional zinc coated galvanised steel.
Designed to provide protection against corrosion in severe to very severe environmental conditions.
COLORSTEEL® roofing products are available in a range of colours to suit every New Zealand home.
Our Galvanised steel roofing products are available in a variety of widths, gauges and mechanical grades.
